WELCOME TO ARC/K PROJECT
To save and to keep safe…
The Arc/k Project, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, digitally archives that which is too valuable, too important, and too unique to be lost or forgotten. As great as the palaces of Versailles or as humble as a discarded arrowhead, our cultural heritage defines who and what we are—and we can all play a vitally important role in preserving it.
Palmyra Castle, located in the province of Homs, Syria, is listed as one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites in danger due to the Syrian civil war. Explore the crowdsourced photogrammetry of the castle generated from HD video footage of a paraglider circling above.
6th Street Bridge Los Angeles
The basis of this hypothetical project is to keep alive a piece of LA’s history. We believe that we can make it a permanent part of the culture by making it a community meeting place under the bridge as the new bridge is being built.
IN THE FIELD
We are working to generate synergies and provide support for the currently separate and solitary efforts of like-minded activists, museums, and organizations with an end goal of forging a unified global response to emerging crises.
